Redwater Construction LLC has been building homes on the Big Island of Hawaii for over 20 years. We have built over 200 custom homes and are a full service company. Based in beautiful Waimea but servicing the entire island, we offer all phases of construction from drafting and designing your new home to excavation, grading, remodels and swimming pools. Randy Ring
Owner/General Contractor
Randy Ring was born in Dodge City, Kansas but got outta Dodge when he arrived on the island for a building project in 1989. In 1993 he received his Contractor’s license and never looked back! He went on to start Redwater Construction along with his partner, Ed Horwatt, who has since retired. Hawaii has been home to Randy for over 30 years, where he met his wife, raised a family, and runs his business. Outside of work, Randy stays healthy and happy with an active lifestyle of tennis, paddling, golfing or just about any sport that he can fit in!
Tommy Lindsey
Foreman
Tommy Lindsey was born and raised in Waimea on the Big Island of Hawaii. He is a master craftsman and has been in the building industry for over 40 years. His calm demeanor, island wisdom, and skilled craftsmanship are the cornerstone of the company.
George Balanay
Draftsman
George Balanay is one of the most unassuming, honest and humble people you could meet. He has been working with Randy for over 25 years and is a hard working carpenter, talented draftsman, and a valuable asset to the company.
Pepper Chong
Grading/Machine Operator
A well-built house starts with a solid foundation and that’s where Pepper Chong comes in. He was born and raised in Hawaii and has been with Redwater Construction for over 20 years. When it comes to grading your land and preparing for your foundation, Pepper says “there’s only one way to do it, and that’s the right way”. We couldn’t agree more. His knowledge and skill grading your land is one that cannot be overstated.
Rami Ring
Office Manager
Rami Ring was born and raised on Oahu and moved to the Big Island of Hawaii in 1989. Along with Randy, she’s raised 4 children who are all young adults now. Rami works behind-the scenes, assisting in the financial side of the business, contracts, and human resources. In her free time she is often found at the beach or on the ocean, paddling her canoe.
